How to Find the Best iPhone

 To some,

the experience of using an on-screen virtual image and a human fingertip - and its effect on an iPhone's user interface - was even more fascinating than its many other features. And those many features, too, are numerous.

In fact, the iPhone is closer in many ways to a wristwatch than to any other mobile device. But how do you know what you should look for when you're looking for a good phone? The first thing you want to look at is whether or not Apple has designed the software of its own iPhone specifically for the hardware that goes into it.

For example, it would have been foolish to design a device like the iPhone, which looks and acts just like the Palm Pre or the Dell Streak, on which to make software. That wouldn't have worked. It's also not obvious that the iPhone would have run on Microsoft Windows Mobile had Apple made that operating system for it instead.

The second thing you need to know about the user interface of the iPhone is whether or not Apple has made its own software. The answer is "no." Instead, most of the time, you'll have a layer of software called the "iPhone OS" that takes over after you purchase your iPhone. There are many advantages to this arrangement, though. The biggest among them is the fact that Apple gets full control of the hardware and software of your iPhone - from the screen resolution, to the camera and all its features, to the way it responds to touch commands. If you are considering an iPhone, though, you may not really care much about these things.

And in that case, there is no need to look beyond the phone's hardware and software. After all, what really matters is that the phone has the capabilities that make it attractive to people. In this respect, it is a lot like the iPod Nano. This new phone has a high-resolution screen that is easy to read and navigate, while also having a large storage capacity and the ability to hold hundreds of songs.

The iPhone's camera is another factor. The camera is great for taking pictures, but the quality of the images produced by it isn't as good as it used to be. If you really want great pictures on your iPhone, you'll want a digital SLR camera, as opposed to the simple point-and-shoot camera of the iPod Touch. If you can afford it, you'll also want to get a good zoom lens and a highresolution sensor.

to take clear, crisp, clear pictures from every angle. Other features to look for are the battery life and storage space. When you buy a new iPhone, you'll probably need a bit of both. While a cell phone with an external memory card is great, you can't always use the phone for long.
